2023 was another quiet year for us in terms of fund raising. However, we did host a very successful quiz night at the Ailean Chraggan Hotel, at which we raised just over £1,000.
Our thanks go to the team of First Responders who organise and run events in their spare time.
We need to ensure we have sufficient medical kit for all of our First Responders and ensure that all of our medical equipment remains fully maintained to the highest standards.
We also need to ensure sufficient training equipment is available for monthly training sessions.
Our defibrillators cost around £1,500 each. We are aiming to set aside funds to replace the lithium batteries over a 5 year cycle and the defibrillators over a 10 year cycle.
Our thanks to The Basil Death Trust for a recent grant received going towards the maintenance of the medical kit bags that the team carry.
Basil Death was a successful businessman who lived in Highland Perthshire and who died in 2006 with no heirs. He had a huge sense of social responsibilty and wanted his estate to be used to support good causes so the Basil Death Trust was established.
Our thanks also go to The Lang Foundation for their donation to the Aberfeldy Community First Responder Group.
The Lang Foundation was established in 1987 by Charles and Stella Lang. The Lang Foundation seeks to support a wide range of charities and charitable activities, predominantly in the Tayside area.
